The Horticulture Innovation Lab invites organizations in developing countries to compete for new Trellis Fund grants up to $4,000 each for 6-month projects, to extend horticulture information to local farmers and stakeholders along fruit or vegetable value chains. Project proposals may address horticultural crop production, irrigation, plant nutrition, pest management, postharvest practices or marketing issues in relation to fruits and vegetables.
Organizations of the following countries are eligible:
• In Africa: Ethiopia, Ghana, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia
• In Latin America and the Caribbean: Guatemala, Haiti and Honduras
• In Asia: Bangladesh, Cambodia, Nepal, and Tajikistan

The Southern African Network for Biosciences (SANBio) offers Mobility Grants to individuals from member countries, who are working in the field of bioscience. The grants are part of the Finish-Southern African Partnership Programme (BioFISA) and aims to support regional collaboration and networking. Regional applicants can receive up to 22000 ZAR and international up to 30000 ZAR. Applications can be submitted until December 2018. Click here to find more information.

The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) of South Africa is funding companies of the agro-processing and agriculture sector to foster their industrial capacities within the economy. IDC aims at developing the potential of food, fiber and timber production, while optimizing local and regional resource use for an improved domestic demand and increased exports. Support will be provided for a wide range of activities, which also include horticulture. Please find more information here.
