DESCRIPTION:In celebration of the <a href="http://www.cbd.int/2010" target="_blank">International Year of Biological Diversity (2010)</a>, Bioversity International’s <a href="http://www.diversityforlife.org/" target="_blank">Diversity for Life campaign</a> will sponsor a weeklong celebration of biodiversity in music, video, poetry, drama and art. The festival will include keynote addresses, roundtable discussions, concerts, exhibits and workshops for children. Based in <strong>Rome</strong> at the Auditorium Parco della Musica <strong>from 20 to 23 May</strong>, La Settimana della Biodiversità will promote a broad recognition of the leading role that Italy has played in supporting the conservation and use of agricultural biodiversity all around the world. The festival will provide an unprecedented opportunity to raise awareness of the value of agricultural biodiversity to the lives of human beings. World-renowned scientists, humanists, philosophers, gardeners and chefs will ensure that the festival has wide appeal and an international spotlight.
