DESCRIPTION:<p>It aims to address global ARD challenges through capacity development and training support and to identify mechanisms for international collaborations in training and education. <br />The main challenges of the workshop are :</p><p> </p><!-- La class "Check" permet de changer les puces en flèches vertes--><ul class="check"><li>to strengthen the National Agricultural Research Systems (NARS) and the contribution of Higher education institutions </li><li>to give a full role to the “non-traditional research stakeholders” such as farmers’ organisations, NGOs and the private sector </li><li>to draw lessons from innovative experiences of higher education and training in ARD and/or innovation in agriculture and sustainable natural resources management </li><li>to discuss innovative alliances : <ul><li>between individual institutions (such as university-to-university agreements of<em> co-tutoring</em>) </li><li>between regional networks </li><li>in the design and management of multi-stakeholder training platforms </li></ul></li></ul>
