Officials of the Horticultural Association elected during the 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Snow Crest Hotel, Arusha on 3rd December 2009 are as follows:
Chairperson Dr. John M. WesongaJohn Mwibanda Wesonga is a Senior lecturer of Crop Protection in the Department of Horticulture at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Kenya. He holds a BSc. in Horticulture from JKUAT, a Masters in Horticulture from the University of Western Sydney, Australia and PhD in Horticulture from JKUAT. He is a member of the International Society of Horticultural Sciences (ISHS). He is also a fellow of the Matsumae Foundation. His research interests include sustainable horticultural production, integrated pest management and intensive horticultural production.
